President of the Alia University, Netherlands, Prof Syed Jan Ali today called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university.
Prof Dr Zeenat Ara Shirazi of Dhaka University’s Urdu Department was present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes on natural medicines, including herbal and unani, by the Dhaka University and the Alia University.
The Alia University president expressed willingness to provide cooperation to Bangladesh for development of its herbal and unani medicine sector. The DU VC thanked the guest for his willingness in this regard.
