Bring Darul Ihsan certificate holders under MPO scheme: Ministry

The government has ordered the authorities concerned to bring under the Monthly Payment Order (MPO) scheme teachers and employees of different educational institutions holding certificates of Darul Ihsan University.

The Education Ministry issued an office order on Tuesday to this end.

As per the directive of the Supreme Court, the decision of the respective governing bodies or managing committees of the educational institutions will be final over accepting the certificates of their teachers and employees obtained from Darul Ihsan University, the office order said.

It said the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education will accept the MPO related activities of such teachers and employees who were recruited as per the rules.

Following a High Court order, the government on July 26, 2016, ordered the complete shutdown of Darul Ihsan University along with outer campuses of other private universities.
