Chinese ambassador calls on DU VC

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zhang Zuo called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at latter’s residence yesterday.

DU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-VC (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, DU Teachers’ Association (DUTA) president Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal, DUTA general secretary Prof. Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Sadeka Halim, Dean of Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Abu Md. Delwar Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah, Proctor of the University Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Golam Robbani and Director of DU Institute of Confucius Prof. Dr. Zhou Mingdong were present on the occasion, said a press release today.

During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views over ongoing joint collaborative academic and research progrmmes among DU and various Chinese universities.

DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman apprised the Chinese ambassador of the history, academic and research programmes of Dhaka University.

DU VC and Chinese ambassador presented crest and some gifts to each other at the function.
