DMP announces parking plan ahead of MBBS admission test

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today (29 September) issued a car parking management plan as it has expected a huge rush of private cars centering the MBBS admission test scheduled to be held tomorrow.

The one-hour admission test will start at 10am tomorrow. A total of 34,740 examinees are expecting to take part in the admission test in nine centres in Dhaka. 

Of them, 9,999 will sit for the test at Art, Lecture Theater, Business Studies, and Social Science buildings of Dhaka University, 5,741 at Dhaka College and Government Laboratory High School, 6000 at Eden Mohila College, 8000 at Tejgaon College, and 5000 at Motjheel Ideal School and College.

The DMP, in a press release, signed by its commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia has requested the guardians to come out of their houses for exam centres with taking appropriate time in hand to avoid traffic jam.

The DMP has fixed some points for parking of vehicles for guardians of the examinees. Fixed parking zones The vehicles carrying the examinees of Dhaka University Centre can be parked in Westside of road from Malchattar and Jagannath Hall to Palashi.

Examinees at Eden Mohila College centre will be allowed to park their vehicles at Eastside from Nilkheet to Palashi Crossing while examinees at Dhaka College and Government Laboratory High School can park their vehicles from Elephant Road to Gauchhiya.

The vehicles carrying examinees which will come to Tejgaon College Centre from Sonargaon direction can be parked at Manik Mia Avenue while the vehicles which will come from Manik Mia Avenue and Aero-plane Crossing can be parked at Manik Mia Avenue via Farmgate, Bijoy Saroni, and Khejurbagan.

Examinees of Motijheel Ideal School and College can park their vehicles at Peerjongi Crossing and Commissioner Goli Crossing.
