DU 2nd int’l conference ends

A two-day second international conference on “Business and Economics” with the theme ‘Interdisciplinary Solutions for Business Challenges in a New Global Order’ ended on Tuesday (31 October) at the Le Meridien Hotel in the city.

Dhaka University (DU) Business Studies Faculty organised the conference where Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Abdul Mannan was present as the chief guest, said a DU release here.

Business Studies Faculty Dean Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam presided over the closing function while DU Pro Vice-Chancellor (academic) Prof Dr Nasreen Ahmad and Treasurer Prof kamal Uddin attended as special guest.

Academicians and researchers from Bangladesh, the United States of America (USA), Canada, the United Kingdom (UK), China, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Vietnam participated in the event, the release added.

A total of 16 parallel sessions were took place in the two-day conference.
