Dhaka University (DU) conferred reception to 32 retired professors on Saturday (4th November) with a view to honouring the contribution of the teachers to academia of the public university.
DU Teachers’ Association (DUTA) organised the programme at Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium on the campus, said a press release here today.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Akhtaruzzaman was the chief guest of the programme moderated by DUTA President Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal.
Pro VC (Academic) Prof Dr Nasrin Ahmad and Treasurer Prof Dr M Kamal Uddin, DUTA General Secretary Prof Dr M Rhamat Ullah, among others, spoke at the event.
The speakers highlighted the contribution of the retired teachers while the professors recalled their memories in the university.
