Education main tool to develop Bangladesh: Muhith

Finance Minister AMA Muhith today said the government is providing special focus on education since it the “main tool to develop Bangladesh and implement present government’s Vision-2021, Vision- 2041 and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

“The government is working to create educated people. If people are educated, the country will become developed easily,” he said.

The minister came up with the observations while addressing as the chief guest at a function organized on the occasion of handing over scholarships among students of higher secondary level by Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indore Stadium this morning.

Presided over by DBBL governing body chairman Sayem Ahmed, the function was attended by Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq as
the special guest. Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir also addressed the
function, among others.

Anisul Huq said the present government considers education as the main tool to build poverty-free Bangladesh.

“We are giving special priority on education to raise educated and efficient human resources to implement our government’s Vision-2021 and Vision-2041. Today’s students will run the country in future. So it is our duty to take proper care to develop their talents,” he said.

The law minister urged the guardians not to marry off their daughters before 18, saying, give them chance to complete graduation degree. (BSS)
