The convicted student was Md Munsur Rahman, son of Nizam Uddin of village Monigram in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi. Munsur completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the history department of Rajshahi University under the academic session 2010-2011.

Roni Khatun, executive magistrate of the mobile court set up during the admission tests, sentenced Munsur to one year’ imprisonment under the Public Examination Act, 1980.

Rajshahi University proctor Lutfor Rahman told New Age that they caught Munsur from room no 425 while he was taking Unit C test on behalf of admission seeker named Al Amin.

Munsur was also found in possession of fake documents used to enter the examination centre, said the proctor.
