The newly appointed State Minister for Technical and Madrasah Education Division of Education Ministry Kazi Keramat Ali said the quality of technical as well as madrasah education would be enhanced in the near future as the government is restlessly working to improve the standard of vocational and madrasah education across the country.

“With a view to uplifting the standard of the vocational and madrasah education, the education ministry has already formed five committees,” he said.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a discussion as the chief guest titled ‘Ensuring of Quality Technical Education in the Perspective of Skills and Development” at city’s Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium on Tuesday (6 February).

Bangladesh Private Polytechnic Entrepreneurs Association (BPPEA) organized the event where the newly-appointed minister was also accorded a reception.

The minister said, “It will not be difficult for us to modernize the technical education as we have become successful in facilitating the private educational institutions with infrastructural support.”

The government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is trying to amplify facilities to the private technical education, Keramat Ali said, terming the technical education as the driving force behind all kinds of development of the nation.

He also said the government is giving special convenience to the students for taking technical education abroad.

BPPEA President Md Shamsur Rahman presided over the function while Technical and Madrasah Education Division (TMED) Secretary Md Alamgir, TMED Additional Secretary Ashoke Kumar Biswas and Bangladesh Technical Education Board Chairman Md Mostafizur Rahman addressed the function as special guests.
