Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) hosted a reception to their University Football Team for being champion in a football tournament.
Football Team of Green University recently won the Walton 1st Inter University Football Tournament-2017 (Faaraz Challenge Cup).
The program held through a grand function in the university auditorium on 17 October.
Former footballers’ platform Sonali Otit Club and Green University of Bangladesh are jointly organized the tournament for the smooth mental growth and proper entertainment of youth and students, as well as for keeping them away from drugs and terrorist activities.
In reception program Prof. Dr. Md Golam Samdani Fakir was the Chief Guest of the program while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz khan, Pro VC; Md. Shahid Ullah, Treasurer; Sheikh Md. Aslam, Ex captain of national football team and Shafiqul Islam Manik, Ex Coach of National Football team; Khandakar Rakibul Islam, Ex Footballer were present as guest.
In the tournament, the champion team of Green University achieved TK 2 lakhs as prize money with the trophy whereas runner-up team got TK 1 lakh with runner-up trophy.
