Guardians Unity Forum demands scrapping PSC exam

Guardians Unity Forum on Saturday demanded the scrapping of Primary School Certificate examination from this year.

They, addressing a press conference in the capital, also demanded immediate execution of the High Court order to hold elections to all non-government schools and colleges.

The forum, a platform of guardians of students of non-government schools, announced that it would form a human chain in front of National Press Club on August 20 to press their demands.

The forum leaders said that cancellation of the PSC would put an end to the sufferings and stress endured by the primary students.

They also said that immediate execution of the court verdict to hold election to the posts of presidents and other members of the school special committees would eliminate corrupt admission business.

General secretary of the forum Md Selim Uddin, lawyers Eunus Ali Akond and Md Selim, Showgotul Alam and others were present at the conference.

The written speech at the conference mentioned that the parents should follow moral principles to guide their children since there was no alternative to social awareness to fight terrorism.
