A student of Dhaka University has been continuing for the second day a solitary hunger strike demanding retake of 'Gha' unit admission test, the result of which has been published yesterday.
Akhtar Hossen, a third year student of Law department of Dhaka University, started the hunger strike yesterday from 12:30pm in front of Razu sculpture at TSC on the campus, reports our university correspondent.
He also demands punishment for those who are involved in the question leak and appropriate measures from the authority to stop such incidents in future. He told our DU correspondent, he started his strike following his conscience.
“Such question leaks deprive the deserving candidates, which is unfair,” he told the correspondent.
He will end his strike once the authority assures him that necessary steps would be taken, he added. No one from the university authority has come to him as of writing this report.
Dhaka University authorities yesterday admitted that the question paper of “Gha” Unit admission test was leaked via “digital forgery” 45 minutes prior to the examination, but published the result anyway.
