Injured deer rescued from CU lab

A Barking Deer (Muntiacus muntjac), locally known as Maya Horin, was rescued in a critically injured condition from a laboratory of the Chemistry Department at Chittagong University (CU) this morning. 

The officials of the department spotted the deer trapped inside the lab around 9:30am, Ali Azgor Chowdhury, proctor of the university, told our CU correspondent.

Later, the deer was rushed to Chittagong Zoo for treatment.

The deer has lost a significant amount of blood due to injury and it has been kept under observation for 24 hours, said Dr Md Shahdat Hossain Shuvo, deputy curator (acting) of the zoo.
