IU Economics dept gets new chairman

Dr Abu Raihan, Professor of Economics department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, has been appointed as the new chairman of the department on Saturday.
 
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari appointed Dr Abu Raihan to the post for the next three years, IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif told UNB.
 
The newly appointed chairman told UNB that he will work for the betterment of the department with the assistance of teachers and students of the university.
 
However, IUTA, IUJA, and different teachers and student organisations congratulated him for being the chairman of the department.
