IU Rover group gets new committee

M Mustafa Kamal of Al-Fiqh and Legal Studies department and Akhatar Hossain Azad of Public Administration department have been elected as the president and secretary respectively of Rover Scout Group Council of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia.

A press release, signed by the president of IU Rover Scout Group Professor Dr Ruhul K M Saleh, was issued in this regard on Thursday morning.

The other elected office bearers are M Shahidullah as vice-president, Yusuf Ali as joint-secretary, Bikash Chandra Roy as treasurer, Zamal Ansary as office secretary, Yunus Ali as assistant office secretary, Shamimul Islam Sumon as organising secretary, Rashedul Islam as training secretary, Romana Begum as assistant training secretary.

Professor Dr Ruhul K M Saleh told UNB that the members of the committee will continue their duties for a year.

Meanwhile, the IU authorities, IU Journalists Association (IUJA) and different teacher and student organisations congratulated the newly elected committee.
