Madrasa super arrested for endangering student in Barisal

Mawlana Al Amin, superintendent of Selimpur Qweratul Quran Madrasa was arrested in connection with inflicting burn injury to a minor student under Batmara Union of Barisal district.

Police arrested Amin early yesterday and sent him to jail in the afternoon, Humayun Kabir, investigation officer, Muladi Police Station confirmed.

On the morning of December 23, Al Amin forced Mahin, a four-year seven-month old student to take a bath in a pond. As Mahin started shivering afterwards, Al Amin and three students took him near to the kitchen-stove. The fire caught his clothes and Mahin sustained severe burn injuries.

Nure Alam, victim’s father lodged a case with Muladi Police Station on Monday night.
