Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday (11 April) said militants are misleading the youths about the religion.
“I thanked RAB as they are relentlessly working to combat militancy,” the minister said this while unveiling a book on “Militant and Proper Interpretation of Ayat and Hadith of the Holy Quran” at a city hotel here.
Urging all to remain alert against militancy, the home minister said, “Islam never allow the acts of killings and vandalism . . . but the militant outfits are killing many innocent people in the name of Islam.”
Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Ministry Tipu Munshi, lawmaker Professor Dr Abu Reza Mohammad Nezamuddin Nodvi, Secretary of the ministry Kamal Uddin, Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Haque, Islamic Scholar Maolana Farid Uddin Masud and Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Samim Md Afzal, among others, addressed the function with Director General of RAB Benjir Ahmed in the chair.
