MoU between DU and Kunming University signed

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka (DU) and Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), China was signed here today at the Vice Chancellor’s lounge on the campus to foster international cooperation in education and research.

Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin and Vice-President of KUST Prof. Dr. Yi Jianhong singed the MoU on behalf of their respective universities.

Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Chairperson of the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering of DU Dr. Lafifa Jamal, KUST Prof. Peng Jianling, Prof. HE Yan, Prof. Shen Ling, Prof. Wang Jian and some other faculty members of DU were present on this occasion.

According to the MoU, the two universities will jointly conduct research activities and short-term student camp programme. Besides, they will exchange faculty members, researchers and students.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the KUST authorities for signing the MoU. He hoped that the students, teachers and researchers of both universities would be highly benefited from this initiative.
