Primary, ibtedayi terminal exams begin Nov 19

The class V students of all the primary schools and the ibtedayi madrashas will sit for the terminal exams  from November 19 to November 26 for the year of 2017.  The centrally conducted class V pass certificate is mandatory for the admission in class VI.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Primary and Ibtedayi Terminal Examinations 2017 with primary and mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar in chair on Tuesday.

Following the meeting, AFM Manzur Kadir, additional secretary of primary and mass education ministry, told reporters that each of the examinations will be spanned two and half an hour.

He also said that the result would be published on the last week of December.

This year approximately 2.85 million candidates from primary schools and ibtedayi madrashas are expected to appear the final examination.

Last year, the annual exam began on November 20 and concluded on November 27.
