1.52 lakh students to take part in SSC exams under Rajshahi board

Rajshahi Shikkha BoardA total of 1,52,566 students including 72,800 girls are set to take part in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations-2016 under Rajshahi Education Board scheduled to be begin tomorrow (Monday) like other boards in the country.

The students will take part in the examinations in 227 centers from around 2,616 schools in eight districts under Rajshahi education board. Four students with special needs will appear in the examinations this year and they will get 30 minutes extra time.

Controller of Examinations of the board Prof Shamsul Kalam Azad revealed this in a pre-examination press conference at the board conference hall here today.

He said the board authorities have taken all-out measures to ensure

peaceful environment and prevent copying at the examination centres.

“We have completed almost all the necessary preparations to hold the examination in smooth and peaceful manner,” said Prof Azad. Question papers, answer sheets and other materials have been sent to the examination centres.

In this context, he said the present government is committed to holding the examination in copying-free atmosphere and the board authority is working relentlessly to make the government’s commitment a total success.

He informed that the centre-secretaries have been asked to follow the examination rules and regulations strictly. Punitive measures will be taken against the institutions which will be found guilty of any irregularity, he added.

To that end, a total of 120 vigilance teams and six sticking teams will work together for ensuring a successful examination.

Chief Evaluation Officer Golam Azam and Deputy Controller of Examinations Durul Huda also spoke on the occasion.
