21 students and 5 teachers expelled for cheating in exam

exam cheatingFive teachers and 21 students were expelled from a Dhakhil examination centre at Kalish-Punail Fazil Madrasa under Nandigram upazila of the district yesterday during Arabic second paper examination.

Anwar Imam, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) and executive magistrate expelled the teachers and students while visiting the exam centre.

 The expelled teachers are assistant teacher Abdul Hakim of Islampur Dhakhil Madrasa, Ayub Ali of Acholota Alim Madrasa, Abdur Rahim of Bizrul Fazil Madrasa, Tozzammel Haque of Shara Dhakhil Madrasa, and Mohsin Ali of Kalish Alim Madrasa in the upazila.

Upazila administration sources said, acting on a tip-off regarding random copying in the exam centre, the UNO immediately rushed to the centre and caught the students red-handed while they were cheating and the teachers were helping them. Contacted, Anwar Imam said that the students were cheating in the exam centre and the teachers were helping them.
