39th BCS result published, 4,792 doctors to be recruited

Desk Report |

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published results for the 39th special BCS, recommending recruitment of 4,792 doctors. Bangla daily Prothom Alo disclosed the news this afternoon quoting PSC Chairman Dr Muhammed Sadique.

PSC sources said that Health Ministry had sent a letter to the Ministry of Public Administration urging them to take extra 2,250 doctors. A copy of the letter was sent to the PSC.

But PSC received no further answer from the Health Ministry. Hence, there was a delay in publishing the results.

The 39th BCS was organised specially for doctors. The preliminary test results were published on September 6 last year. The viva voce exams were concluded on March 7 this year.
