Professor Emeritus of Dhaka University Dr. Anisuzzaman and UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan received ‘Professor Mobassher Ali Gold Medal-2016’ for their outstanding contribution to higher education.
The award was given at a ceremony held today on the campus of World
University Bangladesh, a UGC press release said today.
Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Economic Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, was present as chief guest on the occasion. Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of World University of Bangladesh, presided over the function.
Professor Yasmin Ara Lekha, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, and Dr. Abdul Wahab, a former director of Bangla Academy, were present on the occasion as guests of honor.
