BCL suspends its IU committee

All kinds of activities of Bangladesh Chhatra League, a student wing of ruling Awami League backed organisation, of Islamic University in Kushtia unit have been suspended on Sunday night by the central BCL body for violating the party’s rules and regulations.

Central BCL unit president Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and its general secretary Golam Robbani issued a press release in this regard around 11:30pm.

The central executive committee also formed a three member probe body to investigate into the matter of violating the party’s rules and regulations and asked the body to submit its reports within three working days.

The members of probe body are- Al Nahiyan Joy, M Shakil Bhuiyan and Jahangir Manjil Pipash.

The central BCL committee, however, did not mention any specific reason behind suspending the university BCL committee. The IU unit Chhatra League committee was formed on April 17, 2017 declaring only the names of president and secretary.
