Classes at all the colleges across the country for education year 2019-20 will begin from July 1, the government said in its guideline issued today. It said, students who passed SSC this year will be selected on base of their results and without the need for college entrance examination.
College applications have been mandated to be completed on online or through SMS service on the state-run Teletalk mobile service operator. For online application, students have to log on to www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd.
Aspirants can apply for at least five colleges or a maximum of 10 colleges with Tk 150 for per college application. For applying through SMS, the fee is Tk 120.
Students will have to apply for the colleges from May 12 to May 23. Applications will be scrutinised until May 26, the guideline said. College change applications will be accepted until June 5.
