DU, BUET Signed Agreement with UGC to Setup TTO

DU, BUET Signed Agreement with UGC to Setup TTOTo establish Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at the respective universities, Dhaka University (DU) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) signed an agreement with University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC).

A press release from UGC said, UGC Secretary Dr. Md. Khaled signed the agreement with DU and BUET on behalf of UGC while UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan was attended as the chief guest.

DU will get Taka 2 crore and BUET Taka 1 crore 99 lakh and 92 thousand under the agreement through Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project for establishing the TTO.

Addressing the program, UGC chairman said that the TTO is highly needed for preserving the innovation, with playing an important role in patenting the innovation at university level. Bangladesh Agricultural University has already established the TTO with support from the UGC.
