DU firm to hold participatory Ducsu election

Dhaka University (DU) authorities are determined to hold a participatory and acceptable election to Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu), DU Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman said today. 

“We express satisfaction over the participation in the election of large number of students as candidates regardless of political views. Everyone is expressing their opinions and campaigning freely,” the VC said in a statement today.

“We hope and wish for the continuation of the coexistent and exercise of democratic values that exists currently”, added the statement.

The DU administration specially the proctorial body will remain alert so that the election-friendly environment is not hampered, he further said. The Ducsu election will be held on March 11.
