DU to use Bangla date in all admin activities

The authorities of Dhaka University Thursday (13th April) announced to use Bangla date in all of its administrative activities besides English date.

DU floated a press release in this regard the evening.

“The decision will be implemented from the Pahela Baishakh,” DU Vice Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique told to a renown newspaper.

Being the cradle of the historic Language Movement in 1952, the DU has always been the pioneer in conserving, practicing and promoting Bangla language, literature, culture and heritage.

The announcement to use Bangla dates, a unique bearer of Bangla heritage, in all administrative activities of DU came in the continuation of its efforts to promote Bangla.
