E-service will be Provided for all Madrashas: Nahid

Nurul-Islam-nahid-nwbEducation Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said, ‘’E-service will be provided to all the madrashas across the country which would be done as part of modernizing the Madrasha education of the country.

“We will establish Islam through exploring knowledge and research, not to kill people or throwing explosives as a certain number of people doing this for their own interest and creating controversy over Islam”, said the minister as the chief guest while addressing a discussion and training workshop at N. Mohammad convention centre in Chittagong.

Islami Arabic University organized the function with vice-chancellor of Islami Arabic University Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Ullah in the chair.

We are running the country with the spirit of the liberation war riding on the pledge of change, said the minister, adding that “we are working to turn the country into a middle income one”.

Bangladesh University Grants Commission Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan was the main discussant while assistant register of the Islami Arabic University Fahad Ahmad Momtazi moderated the function.

The incumbent Awami League government has so far constructed 1,130 Madrasha Bhaban in the country, Nahid said, adding that multi-media classrooms have been launched at 5,500 madrashas and dynamic web-portals have been open to 9,400 madrashas in the country.

Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury, Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamiatul Modarresin Mawlana Sabbir Ahmad Momtazi, Bangladesh Madrasha Education Board Chairman Professor AKM Sayefullah, among others, spoke.
