Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu yesterday said country’s maiden electronic book “Ekush E-Book” will bring the best Bengali literary works under the grasp of people.
The minister came up with the observations while unveiling the e-book at Midas Center in city’s Dhanmandi this evening. The function was attended by Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, among others.
Mobile phone manufacturer OK Mobile made the e-book with the help from advertizing agency Matra.
“The e-book will amplify the interest of reading and bring the people fond of Bengali literature close in home and abroad. This is another step in establishing Digital Bangladesh,” Inu added.
According to the organizers, in primary stage, the e-book will showcase the works of Imdadul Haque Milan, Faridur Reza Sagar and Afzal Hossain. Later other works will also be included in the book.
This e-book will only be found in the Ekushe Tab produced by OK Mobile.
