The High Court today issued a rule asking the authorities concerned of the government to explain in two weeks why their inaction to stop SSC question paper leak should not be declared illegal.
The court came up with the rule after hearing a writ petition filed by four Supreme Court lawyers challenging the legality of the government failure to prevent the question paper leak.
They submitted the writ petition to the High Court yesterday seeking its order on the government to cancel the ongoing Secondary School Certificate examinations due to the question paper leak.
The petition also sought the HC’s order to formulate a judicial committee to find out the people who are behind the question paper leak and to enact a law to stop the question paper leak.
