Independence Day observed at Kisholoy Balika Biddaloy College

RhmatWith due respect and honour the 45th Independence and National Day is observed at Kisholoy Balika Biddaloy O College in Mohammadpur of the Dhaka city through a loving cricket match among the girls (students) of the institution.

The competing two groups are namely Lal Dal and Sobuj Dal symbolize the the red-green national flag of Bangladesh. The game was inaugurated by the principal of the institution. It was 5 overed games. Sobuj Dal defeated the Lal one. Roksana, student of class 9 was the captain of the Sobuj Dal and Piya Akter, student of class 10 was the captain of Lal Dal and who became the Man of the Match.

Students, teachers, guardians and people enjoyed the match very much. Each participant was awarded for their encouragement. They were awarded with some famous books on ‘cricket’ and some other books on various topics. Piya Akter, man of the match, was awarded with a ‘Complete Book All Sports’.

An art competition on liberation war was held among the young learners of primary section of the institution. An essay writing competition is also held there on the occasion of the independence day. The topic of the essay was ‘Children’s Role in the Independence War’ for class 6 to 8 and ‘Significance of Our Libration War’ for the both groups of 9 to 10 and 11 to 12.

Books on liberation war were the prizes for the winners. The first 10 competitors from each item  are selected for the prizes for encouraging them.

An exclusive documentary film of 1 hour 50 minutes made on history of liberation war of Bangladesh named ‘Muktijuddher Itihash’ is shown to the audience at institution’s auditorium using the institution’s multimedia projector. Audiences were more attentive to the pictorial and documentary film than discussion. The famous writer , educationist and principal Md. Rahmot Ullah says that now a days it is more powerful and more effective media to convey the information and history of the liberation war to the students and mass people.

Md.Salim Ullah Salu, chairman of institution’s governing body was presented with other members of governing body. They along with the principal distributed the prizes among winners and participants.

The teachers, guardians, students, local folk and elite persons were present in the programs.
