Install complaint box in schools to tackle child repression: HC

Desk Report |

The High Court on Wednesday ordered authorities concerned to install complaint boxes in all the schools across the country so that students could let their grievances know against any kind of repression.

A High Court division bench comprising Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order while holding hearing on a writ filed regarding the suicide of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College student Aritri Adhikary.

The court also ordered to submit report of a committee formed to tackle bullying of students, within October 22, said deputy attorney general Barrister ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud.

The court in its observation said pupils have many such issues, which they cannot share with their parents or with their teachers. If they can get a complaint box, they would be able to let their objections know without any hesitation.
