Japanese Professor meets DU VC

Professor Dr Takaaki Yoshioka of Teikyo University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman here today (16 August).

Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of DU Dr. Firoj Ahmed and CEO of Japan Bangladesh Cultural Foundation Sheikh Emdad were present on this occasion held at the VC’s office on the campus.

During the meeting they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs between the University of Dhaka and Teikyo University, Japan.

They stressed the need for sharing knowledge and experience among the teachers and students of these two universities to strengthen academic and research activities.

Japanese Professor invited DU VC to attend an international conference to be held in April next year at Teikyo University, Japan.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the guest for his visit to DU and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
