JSC, JDC exams: 60,893 absent on 1st day

Some 60,893 examinees were absent on the first day as the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations began today.

A total of 15 students were expelled for adopting unfair means in the examinations.

Some 2,329,241 students from 28,628 institutions appeared at the two public examinations at 2,824 centres.

In 2016, a total of 2,412,775 examinees sat for the JSC and JDC examinations.
