A student of Jahangirnagar University died apparently by suicide in his dormitory room last night.
Adnan, 25, who was from Manikganj, was doing his master’s in accounting and information system.
Students found him hanging from the ceiling fan in his room in Mir Mosharraf Hossain Hall around 10:00pm.
University authorities and students immediately took him to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar where doctors pronounced him dead.
“The university authority has informed the family. We will form a committee to probe into the matter,” Prof Shafi Md Tariq, provost of the hall, told.
