Madrashas asked not to use illegal guide books

Staff Reporter |

Madrasha education board has asked the teachers and students of its madrashas not to use note and guide books.

The board also warned that punitive measures would be taken against who would be found using note and guidebooks which had been declared illegal.

The directives were issued for all the principals/supers and teachers of madrashas under the board following a memo issued by the technical and madrsha education division of the education ministry, the madrasha board chairman AKM Sayefullah confirmed on Tuesday (July 25).

In a bid to earn better results in the examinations, some madrashas have been allowing and in some cases promoting different guide books instead of the government provided text books, said officials of the board.

The practice has become a big threat to achieve one of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals, Ensuring Standard Education to All.
