Head of news of Mohana Television Md Borhanul Haque was attacked and beaten by miscreants inside the office at Mirpur in Dhaka on August 7.
The attack occurred while Borhanul along with other colleagues were doing duties inside the office. Borhanul told dainikshiksha.com that a group of armed miscreants forcibly entered into the newsroom and took him outside the office and threatened to kill him. The miscreants also beat him mercilessly.
`At gun point they threatened me not to continue office further. I beg my life and they finally set me free, Borhanul told dainikshiksha.com adding, “The miscreants were chanting slogans of a political party.’
Ever since Sheikh Hasina left the Bangladesh amidst mass agitation and violence, there have been one after another attacks on police stations across the country. Vandalism and looting were carried out. Because of this, Borhanul Haque Samrat could not do General diary- GD at the police station after the incident of attack. In such a situation, he is suffering from insecurity with his family.
