No compromise with medical education: Nasim

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said the government is sincerely working to improve quality of medical education for ensuring better healthcare facilities.

“We will not make any compromise with medical education…without improvement of medical education, we could not create skilled medical professionals,” he told a meeting on medical examination with law enforcement agencies at the Health and Family Welfare Ministry here, an official release said.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim presided over the meeting. The medical examinations will be held in 19 centres on October 5.

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque, Secretary of Health Education and Family Welfare Division GM Saleh Uddin, Director General of Directorate General of Health Service Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad and representatives of different organizations, among others, were present at the meeting.

Nasim said, “We are taking all necessary measures to hold the medical examinations peacefully…. Alongside taking security measures, Directorate General of Health Service has taken different steps including digital tracking system to stop question paper leakage during the examinations.” (bss)
