The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Tuesday formed a three-member probe body to look into the Monday’s clash between two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League on the campus.
The committee was formed with IU student affairs advisor Professor Paresh Chandra Barman as its head. The other members are — Sheikh Russell Hall provost Professor Miah M Rashiduzzaman and assistant proctor M Jahangir Sadat.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said that the university vice-chancellor, M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, declared the probe body.
The committee was asked to submit its report by seven working days, he said.
The VC said that they would take legal action against the accused after receiving the probe report.
