A class VIII student of Chuadanga VJ Government High School died while taking a selfie on a moving nagordola on Friday. The accident occurred on Friday (Jun 30) at 6:00pm in the city’s Police Park.
The deceased Ishtiaque Ahmed Ridu was the only son of Advocate Imtiaz Hossain Ujjal.
His relative, Nithila Parvin, told dainikshiksha.com that Ishtiaque went with friends and family to Police Park. It was around 6pm when Ridu stood up to take the selfie while on the ride. He subsequently tripped over and fell to the ground, hitting a rod on the way.
Seriously injured Ishtiaque was immediately taken to Chuadanga district Sadar Hospital where the emergency department duty doctor declared him dead.
Chuadanga Sadar thana Officer-in-charge Tojammel Haque also confirmed the matter.
